Illustration Description
Eadweard Muybridge was a ruthless inventor who created a weapon which slowed time to a complete halt. Once deployed on his enemies, he would consign their souls to paper, in sequential form. Luckily his dastardly machinations were discovered and a thousand mile pursuit from the authorities through the sewers of London proved to be his downfall. Or so the official record would have you believe. Some hold that Eadweard (whose Christian name was really Edward. He changed it after seeing it spelled thusly on a plinth) actually escaped to America where he rode the rails until his death at the hands of Walker Evans, another notorious "photographer".
Slow Motion Jones was the name assigned to him by fellow hoboes after consulting star charts and stew pot residue.Flickr Tags
